Tara Timlin

headshot tara 2Tara established Tralee Physiotherapy Clinic in 2004 after working in hospitals and private practices in Ireland and Australia. Tara has worked with athletes from international to local level.  She was physiotherapist to the Irish Amateur Boxing Team 2004-2009 and Kerry Senior Football 2007 & 2008 & 2017. She specialises in musculo-skeletal disorders and pelvic floor dysfunction and has a keen focus on rehabilitation, setting up one of the first physiotherapist led Pilates studios in the country.  Tara is a mother of two and enjoys hiking up mountains, water-sports and golf when time permits.

 

Aisling O’Sullivan

Aisling graduated with honors from UCD and was awarded the Mater Misercordiae University Hospital Commerative Medal for Excellence in Clinical Practice in 2013.  Aisling worked extensively with sports injuries with Limerick inter-county teams and local GAA teams.  She worked in Alberta, Canada for two years providing rehabilitation to people recovering from car accidents, work related injuries and sports injuries.  She also has extensive experience with occupational injuries and testing Functional Capacity for return to work.

 

Sam Treharne

Sam qualified from Cardiff in 2010 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.  He comes to us having recently left a role as a Specialist Physiotherapist in pain management in London/Kent. In this role he specialised in treating patients with chronic widespread body pain, post stroke neuropathic pain, fibromyalagia, phantom limb pain and complex musculoskeletal pain using a biopsychosocial approach.

His prior experience includes a number of roles in the NHS, private clinics, and professional and semi-professional sports teams. These include Swansea FC mens’ and womens’ squads, Ospreys academy and Swansea rugby union squads.

From his time in the NHS he gained experience in many areas including musculoskeletal rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, orthopaedics, post-surgical patients and care of the elderly.

He is highly competent in treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and sports injuries.  Sam has completed post graduate courses in acupuncture, dry needling, Graded motor imagery, acute management of the amputee patient and pitchside pre-hospital care.
